About Tracy

Tracy Keller Nickolaus is a visual artist living and working in the Milwaukee area. Raised in Maryland, she moved to Virginia where she received her BA in Studio Art from the University of Mary Washington. After living and working as a graphic artist in the District of Columbia, she relocated with her young family to Shorewood, Wisconsin 18 years ago.

In 2022 she was admitted into the Milwaukee Artist Resource Network (MARN) mentorship program, thus beginning a serious daily practice of painting and rededicating herself to her artwork. Her portraits have been included in shows throughout Wisconsin including the Charles Allis Art Museum, The Overture Galleries, Shorewood Public Library, Milwaukee Artist Resource Network, Trout Museum of Art, Miller Art Museum, The Arts Mill Gallery, and the Bedford Gallery in Walnut Creek, California. She completed a six month art residency program with the Charles Allis Art Museum located in Milwaukee, WI in 2024. Currently seventeen of her works are on exhibition at the Shorewood Public Library in a show entitled “Anticipatory Grief” through April 6, 2025

Her current body of work is a reflection on her family’s experience with memory loss and dementia.
